Labor Warranty

Texas Building Supply does not manufacture any products or materials, we merely install them. So any warranty we issue is basically for our services. 

Our standard labor warranty is 12 months on garage door and opener installations. However if you fill out a simple online survey about the quality of your shopping experience, we will extend your labor warranty to a full 18 months of labor warranty. Our labor warranty assures the Home Owner will have no concerns about installation problems or the performance of the Doors. Warranty issues typically show up in the first few weeks, not months or years later.

Most products we install carry factory warranty. You need to read the manufacturer’s literature or go to their website to find out what is and what is not covered.

When it comes to the Garage Doors warranty, most manufactures only cover the Door sections (or panels) for a given period of time, like 10 years or even Lifetime, but the door springs, hinges and such items typically carry only a 2 year warranty. There are some exceptions to this and Texas Building Supply Garage Doors can help you select the appropriate doors for your home and your needs.

Springs Replacement Warranty

Torsion and TorqueMaster Springs Replacement- 1 Year Warranty-
Texas Building Supply warrants that these products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for which this product was designed for a period of 12 months after installation. If the product should fail through defect in workmanship or material within the warranty period, Texas Building Supply will either repair or replace the defective product without charge.

High Cycle Springs.

If you wish, and for an additional cost, Texas Building Supply Garage Doors can provide an upgraded spring for your door’s repair that is called a “high cycle” spring. A “cycle” is one opening and one closing of the garage Doors.

High Cycle Definition: Most basic door springs are under 15,000 cycles for a residential door. High cycle to one company might be 20,000 cycles, but here at Texas Building Supply Garage Doors Service our high cycle springs are a minimum of 50,000 cycles and because of this we can warranty the spring for the life of the door.

Our Lifetime Warranty

Because we install a high volume of new garage doors and openers and we keep an extensive inventory at all times, we can offer to fix your door and replace your faulty components right on the spot so you don’t need to deal with time consuming manufacture’s policies when you most need a working garage door, with our Garage Door Service you don't need to wait nor worry. 

We will repair your door most of the times in our first visit, but also will deal with factory returns, shipping and handling that qualify for manufacturer’s warranty.

We also do offer a lifetime warranty on some door spring repairs, covering the spring component and the labor to install it.

To have us cover your Doors with our exclusive lifetime warranty, it must be serviced periodically to maintain the proper balance and assure it is working properly. This requires us to visit your home once a year and service the moving parts and align any tracks, hinges, rollers or cables that might need attention. For an annual fee, Texas Building Supply Garage Doors will perform these services and if at any time during the 12 month period following a service, a component of the door should fail from normal wear and tear, we will replace the component at no charge for labor and parts. This lifetime warranty has some limitations so ask for a copy prior to signing up.

Is a lifetime warranty for me? Absolutely! Just keep in mind that a Garage Door may be the major moving component of your home and its malfunction/ mishandling may lead to serious and costly personal and property damage. Having our professional technicians to come out and service your door would be even far less expensive for you than the average DIY, and the garage door will likely work just as well and safely than when new. 

A lifetime warranty is also a good idea for an absent owner or property manager that does not do their own maintenance and upkeep to the Doors. 

With our Service Agreements, the home owner or property management will have that Peace of Mind that the Garage Door system is being well maintained by our company and there will be no unexpected large bills or bad surprises.

Service Contracts

Texas Building Supply Garage Doors Service can tailor a service contract to meet your individual needs. Perhaps a home owner might require an annual visit for service but a rental property may need us every six months. We can put a plan together for you that best meets your needs.

Examples of some Service Agreements:

Regular Plan. For $79.00: We will contact you in 1 year from the date of your last visit and offer to service and adjust your Doors system and electric Doors opener. This will include no new parts but will include the basic maintenance necessary to make sure the Doors and opener are working properly and safely. A 10% discount is available on any new parts that may need to be replaced.

Upgraded Plan. For $125.00 is all of the above with the addition of free replacement of worn out sectional door hinges, door rollers, and a free can of garage door lube.

Lone Star Plan. For $175.00 is all the above from the Regular and Upgraded Plans plus we will cover the garage Doors springs and cables. In addition a 20% discount on any door opener parts necessary for a repair. Our Lone Star Plan members are also eligible for additional discounts on new doors and door openers.
